WEP AT COP 30
Women Environmental Programme is participating at the 30th session of the Conference of Parties (COP30) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC), taking place in Belem, Brazil, from 10-21 November, 2025.
COP30 is very important to us, particularly because, we are eager to witness the adoption of the extended Lima Work Program on Gender and the new Gender Action Plan. These are the foundations of inclusive climate change policies.
The Lima Work Program on Gender and the Gender Action Plan aim to promote the full, equal, and meaningful participation of women and to foster gender-responsive climate policy, including in the implementation of the Convention and in the work of the Parties, the Secretariat, United Nations entities, and all stakeholders at all levels.
