WEP team and volunteers in Benue State, Nigeria on the 6th of June 2022, carried out an activity to mark World Environment Day 2022. The event titled “Organic farming as a panacea for agric based environmental pollution” took place at Mt. St. Gabriel’s Secondary School in Makurdi and activities included sensitization of teachers on organic farming and controlling use of chemicals in the soil and practical demonstration on how to prepare organic fertilizers are pesticides.

The theme for this years’ world environment day is “Only One Earth” and it is a call for actions on protecting and restoring our only planet.
