WEP Hold Annual Staff Retreat For 2019
As it is custom yearly, Women Environmental Programme (WEP) organized its annual retreat to kick-start the working year 2019. The event was held at Brookville Hotels and Suites, Plot 553 Cadastral Zone Gudu District, Abuja from 14th – 15th January, 2019. The retreat provided an occasion for interaction between Board members and employees of the organization. In attendance were all WEP staff and board members.
The 2019 retreat provided an avenue for WEP to review her projects/activities in the previous year 2018, plan ahead for the successful implementation of her projects and activities in 2019 and reorient staff & board members on her goals and objectives.
Day one of the retreat featured a reflection of year 2018, presentation of the 2019 draft work plan, as well as a team building session.
Highlights of day two were review of achievements and challenges, program design /action plan for year 2019, review of some new organizational policies, as well as the organization’s 2019 financial projection.
It was an enlightening, engaging, motivating and fun-filled two-day retreat for participants as everyone interacted and contributed effectively in every segment of the programme.
The retreat was brought to a close by the Deputy Executive Director, Mrs. Kyauta Giwa, who gave a closing remark and appreciated everyone for their contributions, urging all staff to be prepared to put all that they had learnt and discussed into effective use towards the development of WEP.
