Tracking Progress: Women’s ICT Skills Development under the WomenPower 2030 Project
The ICT Skills Development Programme (Cohort 1) under the WomenPower 2030 Project is steadily progressing toward its conclusion, reflecting a journey marked by learning, resilience, and meaningful transformation for young women and persons with disabilities (PWDs) participating in the programme.
The programme was officially launched in October 2025, with 52 participants enrolled to receive structured and practical ICT training. From the outset, the initiative was designed to equip young women and PWDs with relevant digital competencies that respond to current labour market needs and support pathways to economic independence.
Participants have been trained across five key courses: Office Suite Essentials, Web Development, Graphic Design, Video Editing, and User Interface and User Experience (UI/UX) Design. Through hands-on sessions and guided practice, participants are gaining practical knowledge that strengthens their confidence, enhances employability, and encourages creativity and problem-solving.
Beyond individual growth, the programme is contributing to broader social impact by promoting innovation, inclusion, and sustainable development within communities. As participants build their skills, they are better positioned to create opportunities for themselves and to positively influence their environments.
As the programme continues to progress, we celebrate the commitment and determination demonstrated by the participants and reaffirm the importance of investing in women and PWDs as drivers of positive societal change.
The WomenPower 2030 Project is implemented with the support of WECF International and funded by the European Union (EU).
