Sarah Oka Kajo

Sarah Oka Kajo is a seasoned administrative and environmental management professional with over a decade of experience spanning public service, land administration, revenue management, and environmental governance. Her work reflects a strong commitment to efficient public sector administration, environmental sustainability, and community-focused service delivery. 

Currently serving with the Benue State Environmental and Sanitation Authority, Sarah plays a key role in coordinating environmental sanitation activities, supporting executive functions, and ensuring effective communication between government and the public. She also holds the position of Principal Lands Officer at the Ministry of Lands and Survey, where she contributes to land administration processes, including land title documentation, field inspections, and electronic payment systems. 

Sarah holds a Master’s degree in Environmental Sustainability from Joseph Sarwuan Tarka University, Makurdi, and a Bachelor’s degree in Geography and Planning from the University of Jos. Her professional development includes certifications in World Bank safeguard policies, Environmental and Social Frameworks (ESF), and Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) processes, reflecting her growing expertise in sustainable development and environmental compliance. 

With strong organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills, Sarah brings a detail-oriented and results-driven approach to her work. As a member of the Nigerian Environmental Society (NES) and the Certified Institute of Auctioneers, Nigeria (CIAN), she contributes to advancing environmental stewardship and professional standards. On the Board, she provides valuable insights into administrative systems, environmental governance, and community engagement, supporting strategic initiatives that promote sustainable and inclusive development
