Job Opening: Peace & Security Project Manager

Location: This position is based in Katsina State, North-West Nigeria

Responsibilities: 

• Ensuring that the Principal Recipient and Sub-Recipients implement initiatives in line with the terms of the grant agreement with the donor.
• Reports to the Project Director and shall work directly with Sub-Recipients in the field, be involved in their planning and execution of activities.
• Serve as the direct contact point for exchanges with the donor
• Directly involved in planning and execution of activities that are to be implemented by the entire consortium.
• Prepare all reports for the project and request for and receive reports of project activities from all Sub-Recipients in line with the reporting timelines stipulated in the grant calendar.
• The PM shall serve as the security liaison for the project, carrying out risk and threat analysis using information received from communities, security agencies and other channels, sharing same with consortium members and ensuring compliance.

Qualification:

• Minimum of a first degree in related disciplines.

Experience:

• Minimum 7 years of relevant professional experience on programme support and coordination preferably in the area of peace and security.
• Experience in the design and implementation of initiatives for the promotion of Preventing Violent Extremism is an asset;
• Experience in inter-agency coordination in conflict prevention and peace-building is essential
• Experience and familiarity with donor coordination and partnership management is an advantage.
