INVITATION TO TENDER: PROVISION OF GOODS AND SERVICES FOR CLIMATE SMART AGRICULTURE

PROVISION OF GOODS AND SERVICES FOR THE CLIMATE SMART AGRICULTURE COMPONENT OF THE SAVE PROJECT IN KATSINA STATE, NIGERIA

 

INVITATION TO TENDER

PREAMBLE
Women Environmental Programme (WEP) with funding support from Global Community Engagement and Resilience Fund (GCERF) is implementing a two-year project in Katsina state
Nigeria, titled: Strengthening Advocacy Against Violence Extremism (SAVE).
As part of the project activities, for her Climate Smart Agriculture Component of the project, WEP invites qualified, experienced and competent organizations to submit tenders with respect to providing technical services  and supplying a variety of goods needed by the project.

CATEGORIES OF GOODS AND SERVICES

LOT 1: Drilling of borehole with portable solar irrigation water pump, one each in Dutsin-Ma, Funtua, Jibia and Musawa Local Government areas of Katsina State.

LOT 2: Supply and installation of agricultural processing equipment (Rice milling machine, maize flour mill, millet flour mill and packaging machine), one each in Dutsin-Ma, Funtua, Jibia and Musawa Local Government areas of Katsina State.

LOT 3: Supply of improved agricultural seedlings (Rice, Maize, Millet) and Soluble Mycorrhizae powder in Dutsin-Ma, Funtua, Jibia and Musawa Local Government areas of Katsina State.

LOT 4: Procurement and supply of knap sack sprayers and hand-push seed planters, 3 each in Dutsin-Ma, Funtua, Jibia and Musawa Local Government areas of Katsina State.

LOT 5: Fabrication of Neem (Azadirachta indica) seed oil extraction machine and a grinding machine.

 

REQUIREMENTS

Interested organizations must meet the following requirements and submit the documents requested below:

  1. Organization must have been operating for the past 5 years
  2. Organization’s profile including CVs of staff. The organization must have core staff that are registered hydrologist/civil engineers with either COREN/NIA or ARCRON if applying for Lot 1, 2 and 5.
  3. References from clients your organization has offered similar services.
  4. Evidence of registration with Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) of Nigeria.
  5. Audited financial accounts for the past 3 years
  6. Tax Clearance Certificate for the past 3 years.
  7. Pension Clearance Certificate for the past 3 years.
  8. Letter of Authorization from Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) if applying for Lot 2 and 5.

IMPORTANT IMFORMATION TO NOTE

  1. Only companies that submit the required information and meet the pre-qualification criteria will be contacted after the evaluation.
  2. Women Environmental Programme shall deal directly with only authorized officers of the interested companies and not through individuals or agents.
  3. All costs incurred by your company as a result of this invitation to tender exercise and any subsequent request for information shall be at the sole expense of the submitting firm.
  4. The invitation to the tender process and any related process neither creates any commitment by the Women Environmental Programme nor establishes any legal relationship

By submitting this tender application, your organization has accepted as follows:

  1. To allow the Women Environmental Programme to verify all claims made in your submission.
  2. To allow Women Environmental Programme to verify that your organization is not in receivership nor the subject of any form of insolvency or bankruptcy proceedings or the subject of any form of wrong-up petition or proceeding.
  3. To confirm that the company is not a replacement for a hitherto tax-defaulting company.

SUBMISSION OF TENDER DOCUMENTS

All completed bids should be sealed and submitted on or before 10th February 2023 in
three (3) separate envelops clearly marked– Original, Copy and Electronic copy (USB  drive) duly signed by the bidder’s authorized representative clearly marked ‘’INVITATION TO TENDER’’ addressed to:

Block E, Flat 2 Anambra Court,  Gaduwa Housing Estate,Gudu District, P.O.box 10176 Garki, Abuja, Nigeria.

Kindly note that a company should not bid for more than 2 lots.

All the bids shall be publicly opened and endorsed immediately following the deadline for
submission on a date and venue to be communicated to observers and bidders.
