Call for Expression of Interest (EOI) – Supply of Agricultural Inputs for Women Beneficiaries in Jigawa State

Women Environmental Programme (WEP) invites qualified and experienced suppliers to submit Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the supply of agricultural inputs to support 200 women farmers in Jigawa State, Nigeria. 

WEP is a non-governmental, non-profit, non-political, and non-religious organization headquartered in Abuja, Nigeria, with regional offices in Tunisia, Togo, Burkina Faso, and Niger. WEP envisions a world where the lives of women and youth are positively transformed, and operates through four key programme areas: Environment, Climate Change, Governance, and Peace & Security. 

Project Background 

WEP, as a member of the consortium implementing the Partnership for Agile Governance & Climate Engagement (PACE), Nigeria project, with funding support from the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO), is currently implementing a project titled:
“Addressing Climate Change Vulnerabilities through Inclusive Governance and Community Resilience in Jigawa State.” 

The project aims to strengthen participatory climate governance and enhance the adaptive capacity of vulnerable populations, particularly women and persons with disabilities (PWDs), in two high-risk Local Government Areas (LGAs) in Jigawa State. To support women farmers during the dry season, WEP is seeking the services of qualified suppliers to provide climate-smart irrigation and agricultural inputs to enhance dry-season farming. 

Scope of Supply 

WEP seeks the supply of the following agricultural inputs to support dry season farming and promote organic agricultural practices:

Improved dry season seeds (e.g., tomato, cabbage, onion, pepper, or Telfairia [ugu], among others)   10kg per package  
Watering cans  200 units 
Seedling trays  200 pieces 
Knapsack sprayers  200 units  
Motorized solar-powered irrigation machines including pipes and horses   40 units 

 

 Duration of Call 

This call for Expression of Interest will remain open until 22th September 2025. 

Submission Guidelines 

Interested suppliers are required to submit the following: 

  • A quotation for the listed items. 
  • A brief company profile highlighting relevant experience in the supply of agricultural inputs and other supporting documents. 
  • Evidence of past performance (e.g., previous contracts, or similar assignments).
