Tine Agernor
Tine Agernor joined Women Environmental Programme (WEP) in September 2023 as the Business Development Manager, overseeing WEP’s Business Development initiatives. He is a Development and Humanitarian Aid Practitioner with programming experience in environment, climate change, violence, migration, education and livelihoods.
Tine’s professional experience spans over 12 years. He worked as a Senior Programmes Officer and later as Programme Manager respectively in two non-profit organisations where he supported with the development and implementation of environment, gender and climate change strategies and programmes. He utilized his skill set in networking, people management, research, situational analytics, model design and business projections to create strategic partnerships, strengthen organizational systems and mobilize resources for sustainability of programmes.
An expert facilitator and trainer of trainers with a science, education and development background, he has garnered a diverse range of experiences coordinating and implementing projects in partnership with federal and state governments, national and international development partners and corporate organisations including UNDP, UN Women, UNFPA, UNICEF, UNODC, IOM, UNAIDs and OXFAM. His participation at international forums including the Conferences of Parties (COPs) to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) widen his global reach, network and scope as he explores strategic collaborative initiatives for WEP to address the global climate crisis from a gendered and inclusion perspective.
Earlier in his career, Tine worked on a green energy-in-communities CSR Initiative of Total Exploration and Production Nigeria (TEPNG) in 3 states and was engaged several times as a consultant by Pricewaterhouse Coopers (PwC), the Nigeria Country Programme Monitor on a development project. Tine has served on technical committees on human trafficking/irregular migration, gender-based violence and humanitarian sector development at the federal and state levels.
